The UX Book Club seeks to enhance the abilities and knowledge of user experience professionals from information architects and interaction designers to visual designers and usability specialists to augment their understanding for excellence in UX practice, interaction design, IA and design theory, while building a passionate local community.
Subjects of interest to this club span design theory, design research and user experience research practices and processes. The books include the strategy and business of design, UX design theory and history, methodology, usability research, and the ethics of UX professionals, while networking and having some fun….
I have compiled a long list of book recommendations for local UX Book Clubs to use. There is no reason to stick to this list, but I have personally reviewed all of these and find them useful, informative and educational. The UX Canon: Essential Reading for the User Experience Professional, compiled by @semanticwill
We also have a range of ideas for how to run a UX Book Club locally, and some handy information.
Create a new page for your town/city/country/area - and organise a UX book club meetup :)

Publishers who would be willing to send your book club complimentary copies of their titles:
Please note that publishers will require some indication of intent. That is, you will need to have had at least one meeting and have announced the book to be discussed is the one you're requesting from the publisher.
UXBookClub.org exists to let people know about UX Book Clubs :) This is not to say that:
That would be silly - there are no rules. Use meetup, twitter, mailing lists, other wikis, whatever works wherever you are… get out there and propagate the knowledge :) :) :)
